Technical Lead

FinXL IT Professional services is currently looking for a Technical Lead to work for our client based in Gold Coast. Lead Engineer you play a role in developing and maintaining technical solutions to meet the evolving needs of our customers and employees.

- Initial 6 months contract with 12 months extensions.

- There is Possibility to go perm if interested.

- Work Location Based in Gold Coast.(Must relocate to Gold Coast)

- Hybrid working (3 days in office)

Your responsibilities will include:

• Hands-on coding when required, ensuring the robustness and scalability of our solutions.
• Taking ownership of various aspects of applications, becoming the go-to person for each solution.
• Passionately tackling challenges related to scale, performance, and security.
• Collaborating with stakeholders across the business and technical spectrum.
• Advocating for agile methodologies and applying Lean and Design Thinking principles.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of applications throughout their life cycle.

Technical and Industry Expertise:

• Strong Core Java skills with a minimum of 8 years hands-on experience.
• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience with Spring/Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Expertise in RESTful API design and implementation, Microservices, Swagger, and design patterns.
• Proficiency in Scrum/Agile development methodologies and continuous delivery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to mentor junior/senior developers and review code for quality and compliance.
• Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Other Desirable Skills:

• Experience with Microservices architecture, enterprise architecture, and contemporary IT strategies.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
• Passion for DevOps principles and practices, including TDD, BDD, and integration with business systems.
• Exposure to the Digital domain and agile team environments.
• Proficiency in instrumenting systems with monitoring and alerting mechanisms.
