Systems Analysts

Summary:

Systems Analyst Professionals design, create, evaluate and document ICT solutions in new and existing ICT systems. They may propose modifications to the existing systems and processes, or design new systems to meet user needs as expressed in requirements documentations or user stories.

Systems Analysts are responsible for designing and analysing ICT systems and products. They gather requirements for process improvements and new features by engaging business users and development and testing teams. They are responsible for writing functional specifications from the business requirements.

Duties may include some or all of the following:

• Perform analysis and evaluation of business processes and requirements
• Deliver flexible, quality service and products to improve customer experience
• Provide support to daily operations and monitor performance of business solutions
• Anticipate and respond to stakeholder needs and expectations
• Adhere to delivery and support methodologies and contribute ideas for improvement
• Undertake project quality management tasks such as peer and quality reviews of specifications, design and testing documents
• Oversee the development and implementation of the ICT solution
• Report on the achievement of business outcomes, key performance indicators and quality assurance to manage overall performance
