Storage Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking a Storage Engineer as a specialist in information systems and provides technical support and advice on ICT Storage and related technologies to our Government end client and users across multiple locations and platforms, ensuring changes to the environment including complex deployments are managed and have minimal risk to the business and its data.

The role involves liaison across all areas of IT areas specifically Technology, Infrastructure & Networks. The aim of the role is to assist in continually refreshing the technology assets in order to ensure ongoing operational stability, with minimal disruption to business and working within the change management process.

Skills required:

Demonstrated extensive experience working with contemporary storage technologies, as an example currently in use;

• IBM DS8910−IBM FS7200 Unified and IBM SVC
• Pure Storage Arrays−NetApp FAS series controllers
• Spectrum Protect running on Linux servers.
• IBM TS4500 Tape Libraries
• Brocade SAN Directors X6,X7
• IBM Spectrum Scale in a Linux environment
• IBM Spectrum Protect (TSM) in a Linux environment.
