We are looking to hire Solution Designer to join our team full time who will be working onsite in
Melbourne CBD. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-
functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver the company's vision and
strategy.
Role Purpose
Solution Designers ensure that throughout the project lifecycle, the solution is aligned with the
Solution Architecture, and act as a bridge between the Development teams and the Architects for all
designs
Responsibilities
Wholly responsible for leading and driving definition of the solution design for the "IT Solution" in a
project/program within the Mobile domain, in a way that complies with the Solution Architecture
Participate and, where required, run workshops to progress the design
Identification and escalation of any potential gaps in the target architecture
Issues & risks - drive and contribute to issue resolution / risk mitigation
Change Request (CR) assessment - inject architecture into CR reviews, impact assess CRs and ensure
alignment with design and architecture principles
Design assurance - ensure the approved design is adhered to and there is no deviation by vendors /
delivery teams
Ensure quality, consistency and traceability of design
Experience Level
5+ years experience in Solution Design
Technical domain - Digital expertise
Agile software development practices
DevOps capabilities
Testing standards, tooling, automation
APIs, microservices
Attributes
Highly developed communication and influencing skills
Ability to describe and communicate customers' or bankers' experiences in the context of impact to
the organisation
Ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues to business stakeholders
Analytical approach to problem investigation, options and recommendations, documentation of
findings in a structured way
Able to work within time-boxed timeframes i.e. to a pre-agreed level of quality and detail
"Can do" attitude and flexible to support other streams or carry out other project activities as the
need arises
Comfortable working at both a strategic and detailed level i.e. conceptually and at a practical level
Provide professional and ethical behaviour in actions by ensuring compliance with external legislation,
bank standards and internal operating policies and procedures relevant to the position

Understand current state Technology and perform impact analysis
Experience with CI/CD toolsets such as git, GitHub, Jenkins and Artifactory
Technical Domain - iOS / Android / microservices expertise
Understanding of mobile-related programming languages preferred (Objective-C, Swift, Java, Kotlin)
