Wintel Systems Engineers - Azure / AVS | Brisbane or Sydney | Hybrid

We're partnering with a major enterprise in the banking and insurance space to engage three experienced Wintel Systems Engineers for a large-scale transformation program. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects involving hybrid cloud infrastructure and enterprise-grade technologies.

Location: Brisbane CBD preferred (Sydney could also be considered)
Work model: Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite per week

About the role:

You'll be embedded in the Hosting & Database team, playing a pivotal role in the management, optimisation, and automation of Windows Server environments across Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and Azure Native platforms. This is a hands-on engineering role where your scripting, cloud, and systems skills will be key.

Key responsibilities:

Deploy, configure, and manage Windows Server environments across AVS and Azure Native
Administer Azure infrastructure: VMs, networking, Active Directory, and resource groups
Develop PowerShell scripts for automation of provisioning and system maintenance tasks
Monitor and optimise system performance, ensuring availability and scalability
Implement robust security controls and maintain compliance with industry standards

What we're looking for:

Strong experience with Windows Server 2016+ in both cloud and on-prem environments
Proven expertise in Azure VMware Solution (AVS) and Azure Native services
Solid PowerShell scripting skills for automation and process efficiency
Experience with tools like Azure Automation, Azure Monitor, and Azure Security Center
Background in enterprise-scale environments, ideally with hybrid infrastructure exposure
