Pre-Assurance & Change Transformation Lead
Location: Sydney (Hybrid)
Job Type: Contract - 12 months (minimum)

The Opportunity
FinXL is seeking a highly experienced Pre-Assurance & Change Transformation Lead to join a large-scale regulatory transformation program within a leading enterprise client.
This role will be instrumental in supporting organisational readiness for external assurance and audit processes, driving measurable improvements in customer protection, risk ownership, and governance practices across multiple business units.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of pre-assurance and change strategies aligned to compliance and customer protection outcomes
Prepare the business for internal and external assurance related to regulatory commitments
Embed risk ownership and uplift Line 1 capabilities across senior leadership and operational teams
Define and govern readiness criteria, assurance frameworks, and stage-gating practices
Partner with Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams to ensure successful audit preparedness
Report on key risk indicators, program effectiveness, customer impact, and governance maturity
About You
10+ years' experience in senior roles across risk, assurance, or compliance within complex, regulated organisations
Strong track record in leading large-scale transformation and change programs
Deep understanding of governance, audit, and regulatory environments
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and executive communication skills
Proven ability to drive cultural change and embed sustainable business practices
