Technical Director - Data Centre
Summary
The Technical Director will oversee the migration of core networks and technologies, including Core, OSS, Transport, RAN, IT, Access, Mobile, and Fixed Networks. This demands expertise in managing complex telecommunications infrastructure, ensuring a seamless transition to alternative sites.
The Technical Director will provide technical leadership and oversight on the migration of systems including:
▪ Networks: Core & Private Cloud Networks, OSS, Transport, RAN, IT, Access, Mobile, Fixed Networks.
▪ Technologies: Carrier Ethernet, SDH, xDWDM, TDM, Fibre.
Key Acountabilities
- As a Technical Director, Lead the evacuation and migration of all network services, technologies, and infrastructure including Core, NFVI, VAS, OSS, Transport, RAN, IT, Access, Mobile, and Fixed Networks.
- Identify potential risks related to the migration and implement strategies to mitigate them, including contingency planning ensuring minimal disruption to services.
- Review and comprehend technical and ambiguous problems, identifying key dependencies and risks, mapping out correct sequencing of migration requirements & conveying clear options and recommendations.
- Lead a virtual team of platform owners, SME, technical specialists to create a plan and execute on the plan to complete the program objectives, targets, KPIs and milestones.
- Ensure detailed documentation of system architecture, migration procedures, and operational workflows.
- Work closely and in collaboration with the Project Director to ensure seamless delivery of all migrations on time and budget and aligned with the organisational objectives and stakeholder needs.
