FinXL IT is seeking multiple Storage Systems Engineers to join our growing engineering team at a large, dynamic Insurance services organisation.

2x Storage Systems Engineers

• Initial 6 months
• Based in Brisbane (also open to Sydney)
• Hybrid 2-3 days on site, CBD office locations
• Multiple opportunities Available

As a Storage Engineer you will be part of the Storage squad, building and maintaining a range of storage and backup platforms. You will be working on multiple projects and platform management .

Deliverables

• Build and maintain a diverse range of storage and backup platforms
• Provide advice on cloud storage solutions, as a key contributor to the future cloud strategy for storage
• Create and maintain relevant documentation including Standard Operating Procedures for all platforms and processes
• Be involved in project work and ensuring the right solution is implemented to properly support application teams
• Continuously improve the monitoring of the platforms
• Participate in platform maintenance and platform upgrades
• Drive automation and self-service

Mandatory Skills

• Previous experience working as a Storage Engineer within a large-scale multi-cloud environment
• Good understanding of storage technologies and management experience with any or all of the following platforms:
• NetApp
• CVO
• CommVault
• A strong understanding of storage protocols.
• Understanding and knowledge of networking technologies, core infrastructure services, Linux, AIX, Windows and VMWare.
• Strong and proven experience in identifying and implementing automation opportunities
• Flexibility and resilience in responding to multiple changing priorities
