Storage Engineer - IBM Spectrum Scale
12-Month Contract (ongoing) | Government Client | Parramatta-Based | FinXL Professional Services

FinXL is looking for an experienced Storage Engineer to join a long-term project with a major government client based in Parramatta. This is a 12-month initial contract, offering an opportunity to work on enterprise-scale storage environments and contribute to key infrastructure initiatives. Applicants would require recent experience with IBM Spectrum Scale and ability to obtain Baseline Clearance (Australain Citizens Only).

What you'll be doing:

• Managing and optimising IBM Spectrum Scale, IBM SVC, and IBM TSM storage environments.

• Administering and configuring SAN Brocade Networking and IBM Tape TS4500 ATL.

• Supporting and maintaining NetApp storage systems.

• Troubleshooting storage performance issues and ensuring high availability.

• Collaborating with infrastructure and security teams to align storage with business needs.

• Assisting with architecture, capacity planning, and performance tuning.

Essential skills:

• IBM Spectrum Scale

• IBM SVC (Storage Virtualisation Controller)

• IBM TSM & IBM TS4500 Tape Library

• SAN Brocade Networking

• NetApp storage solutions

Highly desirable:

• Experience with Pure Storage
