Job description

FinXL IT are seeking multiple Senior Service Designers to join our team at a large financial services organisation. As a Service Designer, you will lead impactful design projects and work hands-on to create outputs, while shaping presentations and scoping projects.

About The Role:

  • Produce high-quality, empathetic, and robust design outputs
  • Lead research and discovery activities, including shaping 'how might we' statements, market scanning, and competitor analysis
  • Facilitate workshops that are purposeful, engaging, and outcome-driven
  • Conduct both qualitative and quantitative interviews, focusing on ethnographic research and behavioural analysis
  • Plan, prepare, and facilitate end-to-end testing, presenting results clearly and effectively
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive Customer Journeys, Concepts, Prototypes, Service Blueprints, and Customer Value Proposition Canvases
  • Collaborate closely with other designers and stakeholders, ensuring alignment across teams and departments

About You:

  • 5+ years of experience as a Service Designer in financial services, ideally in business lending or business banking
  • Extensive experience in customer research and human-centred design processes, including applied research methods
  • Proven ability to design, conduct, and guide customer research activities (focus groups, interviews, ethnography, etc.)
  • Strong experience with digital tools such as Figjam, Miro, Dovetail, Maze or similar
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders at all levels
  • Experience in creating engaging, insightful presentations and delivering outcomes that align with both customer and business needs
