SAP Functional Consultant - Logistics

About the Role:
Join FinXL IT Professional Services and work with one of our large, high-profile clients in Sydney as an SAP Functional Consultant - Logistics. This is a 6-month contract with the opportunity to deliver innovative solutions and lead SAP Logistics initiatives.

Key Details:

• Location: Sydney-based, hybrid working (2-3 days in the office).
• Duration: 6-month contract.
• Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsibilities

    • Design and implement SAP Logistics solutions (SAP MM, SD, S/4HANA) and integrate them with non-SAP systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Govern and evolve architecture design, standards, and processes for logistics and procurement supply chain systems.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, challenging and refining them to ensure strategic alignment and feasibility.
    • Lead end-to-end solution design for logistics-related projects, from scoping and feasibility studies to implementation and post-delivery support.
    • Manage SAP integration with systems using API, SFTP, and EDI technologies, along with functional integration of SAP modules like Ariba, IBP, PM, and EAM.
    • Deliver functional configurations in SAP ECC 6.0 and S/4HANA, particularly in the areas of MM and SD, while integrating with modules such as Plant Maintenance and Customer Service.
    • Plan, facilitate, and document workshops to ensure comprehensive understanding and alignment across teams.
    • Establish and maintain a repository of system documentation, including requirements, solution designs, and development practices.
    • Monitor and resolve incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes to ensure operational excellence.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and systems, ensuring they are cost-effective and reliable.
    • Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring delivery within established SLAs and governance frameworks.
    • Stay informed on industry best practices and standards in SAP Logistics to recommend innovative solutions and system enhancements.
    • Provide strategic direction and serve as a liaison between IT and logistics stakeholders.
    • Offer warranty support through issue resolution, root cause analysis, and design of rectification measures.
    • Ensure business initiative costing and benefit realization align with project outcomes and stakeholder expectations.
    • Support knowledge sharing by creating, updating, and maintaining technical documentation and training materials.
    • Engage in commercial management, overseeing budgets and resource allocation to achieve project objectives.
