About the Role:

As an Oracle Banking Platform Engineer, you'll be a key player in delivering advanced solutions within an Agile environment. You'll lead the analysis, design, and development, ensuring they meet diverse requirements across the portfolio. You'll collaborate with Architects, Solution Designers, and various business and technology teams to deliver reliable, stable, and operationally sound applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Review: Evaluate and review system designs, ensuring optimal technology selection and integration.
• Impact Analysis: Conduct impact analysis on major design options, managing risks and ensuring compliance with functional, security, and quality standards.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and maintain strong relationships.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership in developing functional and technical solutions.
• Mentorship: Lead and mentor team members, ensuring high-quality delivery and professional development.
• Documentation: Create detailed technical documentation, including flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, and well-structured code.
• Engineering Standards: Select and implement suitable engineering standards and tools, aligning with enterprise architectures.
• Complex Problem Solving: offer proactive feedback on complex engineering outcomes, contributing to the specification and design of large systems.

What do I need?

To excel in this role, you'll possess:

• Proven experience with Oracle Banking Platform/Flexcube, including Loan Management, Customer Onboarding, Collateral Management, and Payment Processing.
• Strong understanding of banking domains, particularly Loan Origination and REST API integrations.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Required Skills:

• Knowledge of Oracle Banking APIs and frameworks for integration and customisation.
• Experience with Oracle Database performance tuning and optimisation.
• Proficiency in JAVA, J2EE, Oracle BPM, OBP Host, Oracle Service Bus (OSB), REST API, Microservices, and Kafka.
• Familiarity with Oracle ADF and Oracle SOA.
• Proficiency in Oracle WebLogic Server, Apache Tomcat.
• Experience with web services (WSDL, SOAP, XSD, XML, JSON/YAML).
• Proficiency in Oracle 12c or other SQL databases.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence.
• Experience with version control using BitBucket.
• Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
• Skills in issue root cause analysis using Splunk, SQL Developer, and AppDynamics.

Advantageous Skills:

• Core banking implementation experience.
• Experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) and Documaker.
