    • Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, including GDPR and other data protection regulations.

  • Database Design & Development Support:

    • Collaborate with development teams to ensure database design aligns with application requirements, optimising both on-premises and Azure solutions.

    • Assist in reviewing and optimising queries, stored procedures, and cloud-based architecture to meet performance and scalability goals.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

    • Maintain comprehensive documentation for all database configurations, changes, and procedures for both on-premises and cloud environments.

    • Generate regular performance and health reports for management and stakeholders, offering insights on the state of cloud-based database operations.

    • Strong experience with SQL Server (versions 2016 and above) in both on-premises and Azure environments.

    • Expertise in Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Azure services such as Blob Storage, Azure Monitor, and Virtual Networks.

    • Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and cloud-based database deployment.

    • Experience with SQL Server performance tuning, indexing, and query optimisation across hybrid environments.

    • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure DevOps, or similar cloud-based automation tools is highly desirable.

  • Additional Skills:
