We are seeking a Data & Platform Engineer to join our team and work at one of our banking clients in Sydney CBD.

Responsibilities

• Provide high performing and stable platforms
• Implement monitoring capabilities
• Design and develop data pipelines for processing large volumes of data using Apache Spark and AWS
• Participate in down stream analysis and analysis end-to-end date flows
• Contribute to troubleshooting and root cause analysis
• Work closely with data architects and platform and infrastructure teams

Skills and experience

• Extensive experience using Spark, PySpark, SQL, Python, Kafka and Airflow
• Experience building APIs using container frameworks
• Expertise in AWS technologies including EC2, S3, IAM, EKS, RDS, etc.
• Strong knowledge of big data technologies including Presto or Trino
• Experience with data quality and data monitoring tools
• Experience with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
