Job description

FinXL is seeking a Network Implementation Engineer (Cisco) to join our team, deployed with a leading telecommunications client on a large-scale network deployment project. This 12-month (ongoing) contract is focused on hands-on implementation, ensuring seamless Cisco network rollouts, upgrades, and optimisations in a critical enterprise environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Deploying and integrating Cisco network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Upgrading existing networks, ensuring stability, security, and high availability.
  • Configuring and implementing WAN, LAN, SD-WAN, and wireless solutions.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving network issues during deployment to ensure seamless integration.
  • Validating and testing new infrastructure against high-level and low-level designs (HLD/LLD).
  • Ensuring compliance with network policies, security standards, and best practices.

Technical Expertise Required:

  • Cisco Nexus (6K) & Catalyst Switches - Hands-on experience with configuration & troubleshooting.
  • Routing Protocols - Strong knowledge of BGP for routing & policy implementation, plus experience with OSPF, EIGRP, and VLANs.
  • Wireless Networking - Proven ability to configure and troubleshoot Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and Access Points (APs).

Implementation Experience:

  • End-to-End Network Implementations - Strong background in upgrades & migrations.
  • Node Device Deployments - Experience implementing node devices in large-scale enterprise environments is a huge plus, as this role involves deploying node devices for a major project.
