FinXL is seeking a Test Lead to join our team and work with a major energy provider on a key initiative focused on Operational Technology (OT) testing. This role will support the secure remote access and control of battery energy storage systems (BESS) across substations, ensuring reliability and compliance with industry standards.

This is a specialist role requiring strong testing skills, adaptability, and the ability to work within complex energy infrastructure environments. While experience with OT and electricity grid technologies is highly desirable, candidates with strong communication, problem-solving skills, and risk-based testing experience will also be considered.

• Lead end-to-end testing of remote access and control systems for energy sites
• Use Micro Focus ALM (Quality Center) or similar for test management and execution.
• Develop and execute test plans, risk-based testing strategies, and defect management processes.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and product owners to define and implement test strategies.
• Assess and manage testing risks, ensuring all stakeholders are aligned.
• Ensure testing aligns with industry best practices and regulatory standards.

• Strong experience as a Test Lead, preferably within Operational Technology (OT) environments.
• Understanding of electricity grid technologies (highly desirable).
• Ability to quickly adapt, learn new domain knowledge, and work in complex environments.
• Strong experience in risk-based test approaches and risk discussions.
• Experience with Micro Focus ALM (Quality Center) or similar test management tools.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
