We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team on a 12-month contract. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for writing, editing, and maintaining a range of technical documentation, including user manuals, API documentation, process guides, knowledge bases, and training materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain clear, concise, and user-friendly technical documents for diverse audiences (developers, engineers, and end-users).
• Translate complex technical concepts into accessible language, ensuring understanding across all skill levels.
• Develop operational procedures and ensure accurate documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement documentation best practices, including indexing, tagging, and search optimization to enhance content accessibility.
• Ensure all documentation complies with defence writing standards, style guides, and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and deliver high-quality documentation.

Skills & Capabilities:

• Proven experience in writing and maintaining technical documents.
• Ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
• Strong knowledge of documentation best practices and content management techniques.
• Familiarity with documentation tools such as Confluence, Markdown, or Git (desired).
• Adherence to defence writing standards and other industry guidelines (must-have).
